It has been quiet around 2X for some time now but recently 2X came out with a newbeta version of their flagship product: 2X ApplicationServer. This new version, 6.0 is an open Beta and has several new features.
The new features and modifications in the client component of the 2X ApplicatonServer 6.0 Beta are:
- New active Web Portal
- Support of multiple monitors
- Console (toolbar for quick actions)
- Publishing session timeout
- Load Balancing advanced settings (fine tune timeouts)
- Support more than 255 hosts
- Limit an application to be deployed only once by a user
- Published desktop can be set to use the available area
- SMB version option to allow 2X client only to connect to terminal server.
- Improved Shell (all fixes in previous version)
- TLS/SSL SMTP support.
- URL/Mail Redirection (server to client)
- CPU Load Balancer
- Universal Printing supports native BMP and EMF printing (no external software needed)
- Web portal can be installed on any port
- Printing compression
- Web New version
- Alerts
