Alternative Technology Signs Distributor Agreement With IGEL Technology
Tuesday, 31 January 2006 by Michel Roth
Alternative Technology, the leading specialty distributor of security and access infrastructure solutions, announced at Citrix summit06 that it has signed a value-added distribution agreement with IGEL Technology, Inc., a leading supplier of Linux and Windows-based thin client solutions. Under the agreement, Alternative Technology will distribute IGEL's industry-leading thin client solutions to its network of resellers in the USA and Canada.

IGEL extends Alternative Technology's current portfolio of access infrastructure and thin client products by adding IGEL devices with integrated Smartcard readers to protect customer data against unauthorized access, spyware, worms, and Trojans.

This agreement follows the recent announcement of the formation of IGEL Technology Inc. in the USA, headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, a 500% increase in U.S. business in 2005, and the release of IGEL-5512 XP Premium Clever Client with Windows XP Embedded.
