Chip PC Wins 20,000 Thin Client Tender
Tuesday, 13 November 2007 by Michel Roth
I find this kind of information quite interesting: Chip PC has won Europe's largest Thin Client tender, allowing them to supply 20,000 Thin Clients to a company in Germany.

This is interesting information to me because in Europe there are not as many large enterprise environments as there are in the US. And certainly not that many large enterprise environments that use Thin Clients. Since Thin Clients are really mainstream, customers usually know - and go- with the brand they know, which typically are the HPs and Wyses of this world. This doesn't mean of course that these are the best choices. This is why I find it interesting to see that an enterprise environment as referenced in the press release chooses ChipPC as their Thin Client vendor. Don't get me wrong, I don't think ChipPC is crap. On the contrary, they make very decent Thin Clients.

Should you want to know more, then read the press release.
