This is another great article by Mark Russinovich on how to evade some of the security restrictions enforced by Windows. In particular he details on how to circumvent a Software Restriction Policy when Software Restriction Policies are implemented in whitelist ("allow nothing but...") mode. As a result this article exposes the architectural decisions made with Windows on how to implement some security mechanisms.
