Citrix Announces Certifications EdgeSight And WANScaler Certifications

Citrix announced that they have expanded the CCA program to include specializations in the area of two relative newcomers in the Citrix productline: Citrix Edgesight an Citrix WANscaler. With these two certifications the following possible CCA statuses can now be achieved:

� Presentation Server 4
� Access Gateway 4
� Access Gateway 8
� Password Manager 4
� NetScaler 8
� EdgeSight 4
� WANScaler 4

About the new kids on the block:

CCA for Citrix EdgeSight 4
Candidates must pass Citrix exam 800, Citrix EdgeSight 4.5: Administration, Performance Monitoring and Load Testing. In addition, an instructor-led training course will be available to help candidates prepare for the exam. The training course provides the necessary foundation to deploy and administer Citrix EdgeSight 4.5. This course covers the installation, configuration, and administration of Citrix EdgeSight 4.5 and EdgeSight for Load Testing. Learners use interactive simulations to diagnose and troubleshoot common issues using Citrix EdgeSight 4.5. Both the course and exam are expected to be available within the month (September).

CCA for Citrix WANScaler 4
Candidates can obtain the CCA for Citrix WANScaler 4 by passing Citrix exam 740, Citrix WANScaler 4.2: Administration. An instructor-led training course covering best practices for administration and deployment of both the WANScaler appliances and WANScaler Client will be available to help candidates prepare for the exam. This training introduces administrators and other IT professionals to the operational theory behind Citrix WANScaler 4.2 and prepares them to plan a deployment, and install, configure and administer the product. Interactive instructor-led discussion and hands-on labs and exercises guide learners through configuration and administrative tasks preparing them to manage Citrix WanScaler 4.2 deployments. Both the course and exam are expected to be available in Q4 of 2007.
