Citrix revealed a new Global Load Balancing for Presentation Server solution, enabling uninterrupted access to applications delivered by Citrix Presentation Server even if entire data centers go offline as the result of a natural disaster or other emergency.

"Today Citrix announced a new Global Load Balancing for Presentation Server solution, enabling uninterrupted access to applications delivered by Citrix Presentation Server™ even if entire datacenters go offline as the result of a natural disaster or other emergency. The new solution leverages proven high-availability technology from Citrix® NetScaler® to provide seamless application access across distributed multi-site Citrix Presentation Server deployments. In the event that a regularly accessed Presentation Server site is temporarily unavailable for any reason, application users are automatically and transparently redirected to a designated alternate Presentation Server location. By preventing disruptions to application availability, enterprises can maintain workforce productivity and business continuity even under the worst of conditions."

Pricing for the Citrix Global Load Balancing for Presentation Server solution begins at $27,499, and includes a Citrix NetScaler Application Switch Standard Edition and the NetScaler GLB module running on a NetScaler 7000 appliance.
