Okay, so you have probably done as I have, tested Performance Guard from PremiTech, and various other monitoring tools. The thing that got me while testing Performance Guard was that it took more than just alittle time to figure out how to set it up. And also that the PremiTech guys would more than anything in the world, have us into a conference call to explain it... I like things that are simple, is EdgeSight simple, well, it has tons of config menus as well, but it's somewhat simpler to understand. It's simpel to setup reports, via wizards, and we all love Wizards. The fact that I am under NDA, means that I can not lift to much on things, but I can tell you this: EdgeSight really gets the job done, with the reports, graphs and all that. How complex you are willing to do it, is actually up to you. The cool thing is that if an application crashes you can acutally monitor it, and get the crash data, so that you can send it off to the developers of the application. Instead of the usuall thing that happens, is that you call the support for that application, and tell them that their application keeps on crashing, and you need them to fix it... We all know what happens then, NADAnothingSquit.... The product will be ready at the start of Oktober 2006" In fact, Dave Caddick pointed out that Citrix has a Beta up on their FTP site. If you want you can check it out.
