Citrix Is Changing It's Attitude Towards The Community
Friday, 01 September 2006 by Michel Roth
Citrix is slowly changing it's attitude towards the community. First, there was the rebirth of the Citrix CTP program in July of this year. Then, there was the first Citrix blogger. Now there's at least another 12 Citrix employees blogging. And no, it's not a mass protest by these employees. All Citrix employees are now allowed to blog. This demonstrates the turnaround in the way Citrix interacts with the community. Allowing Citrix employees to blog isn't the only way Citrix is trying to refind it's connection with the community, it's also in new kinds of events and changed content on existing events. Keep an eye on Thincomputing.net for more details on this in the future.

Blogging for Citrix employees was opened up around the first week of August on Citrites’ Blogs. This page is the first (free) service offered by citrite.org. It provides a centralised location for Citrix employees ('Citrites') and alumni to discuss all things Citrix. A lot of the blogs created by Citrix employees are still quite empty... I'll guess we'll have to see how it turns out. Some of the more active Citrix employees blogging are:

Sam Johnston
This is the blog of Sam Johnston (Citrix Ireland Global Escalation Engineer). Current categories on his blog are Access Gateway, Announcements, Apple and Security.

Jamie B
A blog by Jamie B, a Citrix Escalation engineer: "As an Escalation Engineer, this is the question I am continually asked. I’ll comment on interesting cases that I’ve worked, and try to point out anything interesting I find on the web."

Dmitry Vostokov
Subjects include Citrix Technical Support, Crash Dump Analysis, Debugging, Troubleshooting.
