Citrix Leads List Of Vendors With New Accelerators According To Networkworld

Citrix NetScaler 12000 was featured first in this roundup of Interop announcements about new accelerators. The Citrix product, grouped with offerings from Crescendo and Expand, was described as having “more RAM - 4GB - and a new, dual-Intel CPU and dual SSL network processor architecture.” The article pointed out that Major League Baseball will install the Citrix platform; a quoted MLB spokesperson stated, “We’re growing at a pretty ridiculous pace, so we’ll use the NetScaler 12000 to give us more capacity without having to add a lot more hardware.”
