Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0 Service Pack 2005.04
Thursday, 12 May 2005 by Michel Roth
Please note that the Service Pack naming convention has changed to a date based version compared with the previous numeric system (i.e. SP1, SP2). Going forward subsequent Service Packs will be named based on the YEAR and MONTH that they are released (i.e. 2005.04).

Service Pack 2005.04 will serve as a binary update to MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0. By applying Service Pack 2005.04, your server will be upgraded to a Presentation Server 4.0 level from a hotfix perspective. Service Pack 2005.04 will not activate any of the added features contained in Presentation Server 4.0. If you wish to make use of these features, your Subscription Advantage must be current. If so, you must change the version number in the Presentation Server Console from “MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0” to “MetaFrame Presentation Server 4.0”. Simply right click the server in the console to locate the “Set MetaFrame Version” configuration.

IMPORTANT: If you elect to install Service Pack 2005.04, only Citrix Presentation Server 4.0 level hotfixes and Hotfix Rollup Packs may be applied to the server. Once installed, Service Pack 2005.04 can not be uninstalled or rolled back to the original Presentation Server 3.0 binaries.
