Citrix Pleased With XenServer Progress
Wednesday, 30 January 2008 by Michel Roth
Contrary to other sounds coming from the community, Citrix seems to be pleased with the progress XenServer is making as a whole within Citrix and it's partners. In particular, Mark Templeton was pleased with the success of getting partners excited about (selling) XenServer.

These announcements were made at the Citrix Solution summit, the Citrix Partner event. At the conference, Citrix said today it has far exceeded its goal of recruiting channel partners to market, sell, and provide services for Citrix XenServer by 60 percent – having signed up over 1,600 partners in 2007 exceeding its goal of 1,000 partners.  In addition, Citrix said there were 30,000 downloads of XenExpress, a free server virtualization trial package, in the fourth quarter of 2007.
