Citrix Presentation Server x64 Supports Up To 3x More Users
Monday, 10 October 2005 by Michel Roth
Today at its 8th annual business and technology conference, Citrix iForum Global 2005, Citrix Systems, launched its first 64-bit solution for application virtualization: Citrix Presentation Server 4.0 for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition.

Working closely with Microsoft and industry-leading partners such as IBM, HP, Dell, AMD and Intel, Citrix is building broad support for extended 64-bit operating systems and server architectures, which offer significant performance and scalability gains over today's 32-bit systems. These gains - supporting up to 300 percent more users on each server - drive down total cost of ownership for Presentation Server by substantially increasing server capacity to deploy and manage business applications from a central location to users anywhere, on any device, across any network.
