The new Citrix Password Manager 4.5 for Presentation Server offers the best integrated product for single sign-on management for Presentation Server environments by allowing administrators to leverage their existing Presentation Server policies and management infrastructure to quickly deploy Password Manager in under two hours in most cases. Further, the Password Manager Administration console is now a snap-in to the Citrix Management Console, allowing administrators to manage their full Citrix environment in one place. By leveraging federation products such as HP Select Federation or Microsoft ADFS, Password Manager 4.5 enables single sign-on access to the wide array of existing non-Web applications often omitted from federation solutions, and provides for a trusted relationship across domains to allow access without entering additional credentials. The latest version of Citrix Password Manager offers 24 new features, including nearly a dozen enhancements for application compatibility. Enterprises can expand the range of applications that can be quickly and easily SSO-enabled via a popular and user-friendly wizard. With the introduction of Self-Service Password Reset, remote Presentation Server users, including employees and contractors, can now reset their primary network password via a Web interface without calling the help desk. With its “sense and respond” technology, Password Manager 4.5 also provides an improved password change wizard to simplify password update events. Other features include: • Full single sign-on capability from all access scenarios, including over the LAN, a disconnected state, VPN connection, from a home PC, kiosk or any Internet connection • Hot Desktop fast user switching enables users to effectively share workstations in public areas, such as a nursing station, and affords individual users with greater onsite mobility as they move between workstations • Application Definition Extensibility Toolkit broadens the range of ESSO applications supported • SAP GUI scripting for SAP Logon Pad, Internet Explorer 7, and Internet Explorer 64-bit provides greater security • Standards-based SPML v2 interface Additionally, Password Manager now supports Microsoft Active Directory group settings with streamlined Directory Administration to provide greater administration flexibility and easier deployment of Password Manager to targeted user populations.
