Friday, 28 July 2006 by Michel Roth
EPAFactory, one of the world’s foremost providers of custom end point analysis (EPA) scans for the Citrix Access Gateway today announced a technology partnership with OPSWAT, Inc. the leading provider of endpoint security application integration technologies.

Under the terms of the partnership, EPA Factory has incorporated OPSWAT’s Endpoint Security Integration SDK, OESIS Local, into EPA’s EPdetect Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware and Personal Firewall scans for Citrix Access Gateways.

EPAFactory’s new EPdetect Anti-Virus offering scans for 40+ different anti-virus products, including leading providers such as eTrust, AVG, Panda, Trend, McAfee and Symantec, and is based on custom-written, compiled code rather than less secure scripted versions. Using EPAFactory’s single scan EPdetect Anti-Virus solution, organizations can allow or disallow access to resources based on whether AV is installed, is running and the time since the last update. EPAFactory’s growing library of EPA scans are being bought and used by Citrix customers and resellers around the world.
