eWeek Says Citrix Is Thinking Big With Application Acceleration Platform

eWeek reported on the launch of NetScaler 12000, stating that the new platform is “intended for use by large Internet-centric customers and enterprises.” Wes Wasson, Citrix vice president of worldwide marketing, explained the rationale for NetScaler 12000, saying that large e-commerce providers are “doing far more with these Web applications than they did three or four years ago.” Therefore, the 12000 platform is “about horsepower.” The article highlighted the product’s improved capabilities including dual processors, double the number of Gigabit Ethernet ports and triple the concurrent SSL transactions/second.
