Exchange Server 2003 SP2 (Blackberry Killer) CTP released

Today Microsoft will release a community technology preview of Exchange Server 2003 SP2. This service pack will probably be released at the end of this year. The CTP will soon be available here.

The most important feature of this service pack is the push technology to mobile devices. In Redmond, this service pack is called the Blackberry Killer. Microsoft will compete with Research In Motion in the mobile email market.

Other improvements are:
- better support for Intelligent Message Filter
- support for Sender-ID technology
- Standard Edition will support a 75GB information store
