| Exit Microsoft Application Virtualization, Enter App-V |

Microsoft Application Virtualization got renamed to App-V, which is of course perfectly in line with Microsoft Hyper-V (which got renamed from Microsoft Server Virtualization). Actually to be accurate, the Microsoft Application Virtualization name did not get shift-deleted entirely. It is still going to around but App-V is going to be the name that is going to be used from now on. Think of it as Microsoft Application Virtualization being the given name (which you almost never use) and App-V being the day-to-day name. The Softgird blog will eventually go from being the SoftGrid blog to the App-V blog and the SoftGrid forums will probably become the App-V forums. Read the whole story at the App-V blog.
