GraphOn Releases Version 3.2 of GO-Global for Windows
Tuesday, 26 June 2007 by Michel Roth
One of the less known vendors in the Server Based Computing space, GraphOn, has released version 3.2 of their flagship produdct, GO-Global (for Windows). The more important new features in version 3.2 are listed below. If you take a good look at the some of the features added in 3.2 you can kind of try to guess what the pricing for this product is like. Just take the price of Presentation Server 4-5 year ago ....

Password Caching
Users can now log on to a GO-Global Server from any supported client platform without having to manually enter their user name and password each time they connect.

Time Zone Redirection Option
GO-Global sessions can run in the time zone of the client device, regardless of the time zone selected on the GO-Global Server.

Backward-compatible Client and Server
GO-Global clients no longer need to be updated when a new GO-Global service pack or patch is installed on a GO-Global Server.

Mac OS X Client
This ultra thin client integrates seamlessly with the native Mac OS X environment. Users running Mac OS 10.3 or 10.4 with Apple Safari simply browse to an HTML page to download the thin client. They then run GO-Global and the published Windows applications from their Applications directory.

Pocket PC Client
This ultra thin client integrates seamlessly into the Pocket PC environment. Pan and scale features allow server-based applications to be accessed from hand-held devices with small screens.

Enhanced Features for Linux Client and Windows CE Client

These near-zero-footprint thin clients now support SSL security, serial port redirection, client audio support, and client printing.
