IGEL Thin Clients Now Available In "Green"
Friday, 07 October 2005 by Michel Roth
IGEL confirmed its commitment to environmentally friendly computing with the announcement of a free, pan-European collection and disposal service on its entire product range, applicable at the "end of life" of any IGEL Clever Client purchased after 15 August 2005.

The new service makes IGEL the first manufacturer of thin clients to become fully compliant with the European Union's WEEE ("Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment") directive . This move makes IGEL's product range 'greener' than ever - the average useful lifetime of a customer's investment in IGEL thin clients is six to eight years. PCs tend to become technically obsolete within just three to four years, making them at least twice as expensive as thin clients.
