A particular environment had two existing Feature Release 3 zones. Zone A started out with MetaFrame XP and zone B started with Feature Release 3. The problem affected only zone A. A clean installation was performed with MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0 for each zone. Imasrv.exe ran successfully as long as the computer running MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0 in zone A was not the data collector. As soon the server in zone A became the data collector for zone A, Imasrv.exe became unresponsive. Read CTX104474 here.
