Immidio Flex Profiles Advanced Released!
Monday, 24 August 2009 by Michel Roth
Immidion, the software Spinoff of Login Consultants, has released another commercial tool. It's called Immidio Flex Profiles Advanced and is based of the free popular Flex Profile Kit.

With Flex Profiles Advanced the product has evolved from just another tool to a real infrastructure product, not relying on scripting and very specific knowledge anymore. Also the installation (MSI), configuration (AD Group Policies) and maintainance (Flex Profiles Management Console) is done by using industry standard solutions.

What does Immidio Flex Profiles do?

It decouples users their personal application- and Windows settings from the Windows Profile on a per application level. The result is:

  1. It optimizes the Windows Profile on any Windows Operating System
  2. It solves a lot of familiar Windows Profile problems

Can it get some more detail on what is solves?

By implementing Immidio Flex Profiles Advanced you can positively impact your company’s business and IT department. In any Windows environment where users roam accross different desktops and/or Terminal Server sessions, the users require a roaming profile.

On a functional level using the standard Windows roaming profile functionality could be fine, but how about the speed. If you want a better using experience and higher productivity for your users by providing them much faster logon times, you really should look at Immidio Flex Profiles.

And how about support on the standard Windows roaming profiles? How often does IT simply throw away a complete user profile just to fix one application problem, leaving the user in dispair because he or she lost all their personal settings? By implementing Immidio Flex Profiles you can now troubleshoot or reset (revert) on a per application level.

With the standard Windows roaming profile functionality simply all changes made by users, often unnecessary, are saved to the roaming profile (which can then grow enormously), making it in fact an unmanaged solution.
