Independent Research Firm States Citrix Application Firewall Is Best Suited Solution for Strong Web

Citrix today announced that its Citrix Application Firewall received the highest scores for preventing Web-based attacks of any product evaluated in the �Forrester Wave� Web Application Firewalls Q2 2006� report. Citrix Application Firewall was also called out as providing the best user interface with easy-to-find features and automated learning capabilities that make configuration easy and intuitive.

The strong performance of Citrix�s application delivery solutions, products that enable companies to deliver all application types � client/server, desktop and Web � reflects that it offers some of the highest performance, lowest cost and best security features available on the market today. Delivering secure Web applications is particularly challenging because Internet vulnerabilities are generally easy to exploit, and attacks cannot be detected by traditional security products such as network firewalls and intrusion protection systems (IPS). In addition, Web applications provide direct access to highly valuable and private data like financial records, credit card numbers and customer identity information, making them ideal targets for hackers. These trends have led to a dramatic spike in Web application attacks according to the FBI, with 95 percent of enterprises reporting more than 10 serious web security incidents last year, up from just five percent the year before.
