Kidaro Launches vDNA
Tuesday, 11 September 2007 by Michel Roth
Kidaro, a relatively unknown vendor in the VDI space, today announced a new product Kidaro vDNA (gotta love those names). This solution saves personal data and settings of the desktop, while automatically reverting the OS and applications to a stable, corporate-approved state at the beginning of every session. This is similar to apporaches that are used in OS streaming products like Ardence, Wyse Stream Manager and Neoware Device Manager.

Kidaro vDNA works by isolating the "user configuration" from the rest of the operating system. The key of course is what makes up that "user configuration". Kidaro describes this as end user files, passwords, configurations, bookmarks, and registry settings. Depending on how complex your setup is you could use something as the free Flex Profile Kit that allows you to "roam" any registry key or file you like (these settings usually contain the bulk of a user configuration).

Thanks to virtualization.info for the news.
