MSI Utility for Softgrid Released

Microsoft has released the free MSI Utility for Softgrid / Microsoft Application Virtualization. The MSI Utility is a utility that will package SoftGrid virtual applications into an MSI file including metadata describing the application.

This MSI can then be added to SMS and SCCM and deployed through their normal channels, except when the MSI runs, it simply imports the application and publishes the shortcuts.

Hot Fix Roll Up 1 for SoftGrid App Virtualization 4.1 SP1 and 4.2 is required for the MSI utility packages to work properly.

� SoftGrid Application Virtualization for Desktops, version 4.1.2.21 or later
� SoftGrid Application Virtualization for Terminal Services, version 4.1.2.21 or later.
