New Citrix Tool: PackageUtil

Recently a new tool appeared on the Citrix Developer Network (CDN) called PackageUtil. The PackageUtil command provides a mechanism to alter Installation Manager package fileshares. This file wll modify your persisant store, so be sure to make a backup before using it.

PackageUtil Syntax


PackageUtil.exe <[/h | /? | /help]>
PackageUtil.exe /l
PackageUtil.exe /n [Old File Share] [New File Share] [Package ID]

/h Displays this help page.
/l Lists the available packages.
/n This does not perform the action requested. It shows the expected results should the action be performed.
[Old File Share] This is the existing share you want to replace.
[Package ID] The package ID of the package you wish to apply this change to.
