New Propalms TSE Beta In Q1 2008
Monday, 26 November 2007 by Michel Roth
Propalms has reported that they will be delivering a beta of the upcoming new version of their Server Based Computing product: TSE.

It has been quiet around Propalms for quite some time but they've announced that the product codenamed "Shiva" will be released to Beta testers somewhere in Q1 of 2008 to coincide with the release of Windows Server 2008.

This version is supposed to extend the capabilities of Windows Server 2008 Terminal Services. What these extensions to the capabilities of Windows Server 2008 actually are, is unclear. What is clear is that Propalms also plans to jump on the (already somewhat crowded) VDI train with a "Virtual Desktop Connection Manager".

"The Virtual Desktop Connection Manager will allow companies to manage and deliver virtual instances of Windows Desktops to client devices in the same simplified manner that they have been able to use with TSE previously. "
