New Softgrid Release Accompanied by New Website

"Leaked" earlier, the Microsoft Softgrid team blog has now announced the availability of Softgrid 4.1 SP1. The blog article by the Softgrid team summarizes the upgrade paths and procedures from the accompanying documentation. What you need to know is this:

• The Softgrid client and Server running version 3.2, 4.0 or 4.1 can be upgraded directly.
• Older version require intermediate updates
• When you upgrade: first upgrade your clients
• Next upgrade the Softgrid Server
• Finally upgrade your Sequencer (actually reinstall because there is no upgrade path for the sequencer)

Microsoft also just opened up the official Microsoft Softgrid home at Microsoft.com. Note the URL. It seems that no Microsoft product can escape the clutches of SystemCenter. Well, maybe OneNote....
