Online Videos And Labs Introduce Windows CE 6.0

The Nov. 1 online virtual launch of Windows Embedded CE 6.0 included numerous technical sessions and interactive virtual labs describing various aspects of the new release. Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Overview

The new release is packed with changes and updates to kernel and memory model, operating system and application development tools and supported operating system features. Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Kernel and Memory Architecture
This session provides a walk through of the operating system architecture and memory model changes, and the capabilities these changes enable. It also discusses performance, operating system size, BSP changes and OAL design. Speaker: Doug Boling

Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Tools
Platform Builder for Windows Embedded CE 6.0 is fully integrated into Visual Studio 2005. This introductory level session walks through the process of bringing up a CE 6.0 device using Platform Builder. It covers creating an OS design, customizing the set of included features, adding applications, downloading the OS to a device and debugging. The session will also give an overview of the new tools included in Platform Builder including the Run-time image viewer and the graphical registry file editor.
