Powershell GUI: PowerGUI
Thursday, 24 April 2008 by Michel Roth
It only seems like a matter of time until everything is going to be "Powershelled". All the major vendor are adopting it more and more. Even though Powershell is very powerfull, it might not be as easy as you might think...

For one, you need to know a lot of "commands" from the top of your head and then there's the syntax at that. While playing with Powershell I ran into the blog of a colleague of mine at Quest, Dmitry Sotnikov , and he has created a GUI tool for Powershell that seems to be extremely powerfull. Even the Windows Powershell team is in love with it .

But what is PowerGUI? PowerGUI simplifies management via Microsoft Windows PowerShell with an intuitive user console that includes Point, Click, Script for quickly building scripts using only a mouse.

I really recommend trying it out if you are new to Powershell (and if you are a vet as well for that matter). Best of all, it's entirely free. Check it out here.
