PremiTech Announces Performance Guard 5.0

PremiTech announced Performance Guard� 5.0, the industry�s first enterprise-class end-user based IT management solution. Unlike traditional server-centric management solutions, Performance Guard uses the individual user�s experience as the starting point to monitor all users and all the IT services they use in real-time.

Classified as the 3rd generation of performance management solutions, Performance Guard� 5.0 uniquely monitors end-to-end IT services as it is rendered at the user�s end-point. The solution reports on the entire IT infrastructure, as opposed to traditional data center management solutions that are configured to monitor specific systems or applications.
According to Forrester, 74% of all incidents reported by end-users are not detected by data center management solutions by the time they are reported. Performance Guard� 5.0 addresses this issue and provides IT departments the visibility required to deliver services to the endpoint through a set of new capabilities including:

� IT performance dashboards pre-packaged for applications or performance reporting in addition to dashboards using custom graphics like campus or network diagrams or metrics
� Automatic application detection, monitoring and baseline performance benchmarking
� Enhanced pre-built user connection and performance monitoring for Citrix which further advance Performance Guard�s leading position for Citrix,
� Open APIs for data center management solutions such as HP OpenView, Microsoft Operations Manager, IBM Tivoli, and others.
In addition to above functionality, the Performance Guard� 5.0 platform has enhanced self monitoring for enterprise deployments as well as improved SQL Server and Oracle database management.

Performance Guard 5.0 will be available in the 3rd quarter of 2006.
