Robocopy GUI
Tuesday, 31 October 2006 by Michel Roth
Robocopy is a very powerful Microsoft support tool for copying, moving, and synchronizing directories and files with error recovery. I've used Robocopy in countless migrations or in other aspects of my job. It has proven to be an invaluable tool. However, there's more than often that I spent just a little bit too much of my time getting to the command-line options. If you share this problem then you're gonna love this: Daniel Melanchthon of Microsoft has created a GUI for Robocopy.

It allow you to create, edit and import robocopy scripts from this GUI. It also includes all the help files from the GUI as well as the classic command line version. Some of the other features:

• Save the flags that you use most
• Browse for folders
• Map network drives
• View logs
• Save scripts without needing to execute them

Robocopy GUI works on Windows Server 2003, Windows XP or Windows 2000 .NET Framework 2.0 is required. The site is in German but the tool and accompanying documents are not.

Check it out and download here.
