One of the little known features of Citrix Presentation Server since the very early versions of the Product (at least from Metaframe 1.8) is the possibility to perform multiple-to-one shadowing. This possibility allows to have multiple users shadow one sessions. If you make sure that this shadowed session is "read-only", you'd basically have a virtual classroom on your hands. This must be what the Sepago people must also have thought. They've cooked up a tool around this multiple-to-one shadowing that allows you to easily create a "classroom" in a Presentation Server environment. Nifty stuff.
"sepagoCLASSROOM is a training centre solution based on terminal server technology developed by sepago GmbH. sepagoCLASSROOM lets you define training classrooms dynamically and across spatial boundaries. (i.e., even across different sites). sepagoCLASSROOM achieves this through the consequent use of the shadowing functions of the terminal server, giving the lecturer full control over the classroom situation. It can be used to administer several training classrooms. Various participant seats can be assigned to each classroom. In turn, a certain participant can be assigned to each participant seat. This is of interest in particular for instruction on production systems. You operate a terminal server farm and use, e.g., a complex ERP or CRM software. For this software, you'd like to train your staff in a location-independent way and with real data - then sepagoCLASSROOM is just the right solution for you." Check it out yourself.
