With all the Hype going on with Hyper-V it's time to get down and dirty. If you want to go hardcore from the get-go you can try setting up Hyper-V with failover clustering, Microsoft's solution to implement high availability with Hyper-V.

It might look like a complex job to set up Hyper-V with Failover Clustering and it probably is. Don't worry, Microsoft provides a 18 page guide that tells you exactly how you need to set it up. The guide shows you how to use Hyper-V and Failover Clustering (Failover Clustering is not a Hyper-V technology per se) together to make a virtual machine highly available. The guide teaches you this by creating a simple two-node cluster and a virtual machine, and then failing over the virtual machine from one node to the other.
