The Rugged Mini The Rugged Mini PC lowers power consumption with its fan-less solid state design built into a four pound custom chassis. Lower power consumption is a huge cost savings for hospitals. With battery costs at over $1,000, battery life and time between recharging are critical financial and patient care issues. This solid state PC is industrial grade with the hard drive as the only moving part. With DVI-out and a sleek, small footprint design that is VESA mountable, the Rugged Mini can be easily attached to large LCD displays, kiosks, and most any surface. VITA All-In One For limited space healthcare applications, Tangent offers the VITA series of integrated LCD PCs that combine the PC and 17/19 inch LCD displays inside a slim, attractive, all-in-one chassis that fits ergonomically in any healthcare office, hospital room, or field environment. VITA is ideal for computer carts and wall mounting. VITA is only 3.5 inches thick and weighs only 21 pounds. VITA comes with an Intel Celeron D, Pentium 4, or Pentium D processor supporting dual core processing, Medix Tangent also offers wireless and tethered appliances for server-based computing with choices on form factor. Thin Clients are ideal for a networked health environment since they offer a low cost, easy-to-deploy solution without the worry of virus support. They are fan-less for high reliability. Central storage and automated distribution of data and applications allows one or more users to work with multiple devices at many locations with the same set of data and applications. The Tangent thin client products include the Medix Thin 166, a low cost modular device designed for flexibility in location and orientation that can be mounted to an LCD monitor for a clean and secure install; the Medix Thin 366 Tablet PC, which features the integration of a bright 8.4” touch display over an efficient AMD Geode-powered CPU within a thin, light, yet robust, metal package; and the Medix Thin 570 LCD, a full-featured, space-saving package that integrates bright 15” or 17” displays with optional touch screen and wireless communication over an efficient yet powerful AMD Geode™ LX 800-powered thin platform.
