The MSI Utility Explained
Wednesday, 16 January 2008 by Michel Roth
Recently I ran into the blog of a fellow Dutchman called Ment van der Plas. He has some interesting entries on his blog. One that is particularly interesting is a set of two posts on using the MSI Utility.

The MSI Utility, as you may know, is a utility that will package SoftGrid virtual applications into an MSI file including metadata describing the application. This MSI can then be added to SMS and SCCM and deployed through their normal channels, except when the MSI runs, it simply imports the application and publishes the shortcuts.

In a set of two articles Ment takes a close look at the nuts and bolts of the MSI utility and what you need to get it working.

Read part I and part II at Ment's blog.

Thanks to Rodney Medina for pointing out this link to me.
