Thincomputing.net Download: Temporarily Disable Policies Tool
Monday, 20 March 2006 by Michel Roth
This tool allows you to temporarily disable Policies on your machine you're logged onto as an Administrator. It can be run from the command-line as well as in the GUI.

So as an administrator you run policies.exe and enter your predefined password (the default password is Authorized). If the entered password is correct, all policies will be disabled until you press the ok button on the window of policies.exe. This is can be done without rebooting or logging off.

To change the default password enter: policies PSWD on the command-line. The new password will be stored encrypted in the policies.ini file that gets created in the directory policies.exe is run from. The Temporarily Disable Policies Tool is provided "as-is".

Download the Temporarily Disable Policies Tool here.

Many thanks to Jeffrey Otten from Log●in Consultants in pointing this tool out to me.
