Thinstall significantly reduces the costs associated with software deployment and provides significant reductions in the time associated with regression testing, application deployment and end user support instances. The client-less architecture allows “Thinstalled” applications to be streamed from any shared network resource. Further the applications run exclusively in user mode ensuring seamless execution on locked down desktops and consequently a higher level of security. Citrix has invited Thinstall to showcase how it can virtualize the Citrix Presentation Server Client (ICA). Thinstall's technology enables carriage of the ICA Client and use from any computer, without installation or administrative permissions. The core of Thinstall’s Virtualization Suite is the Virtual Operating System (VOS), a small light-weight component which is embedded with each “Thinstalled” application and enables any application to be delivered as self-contained EXE files which can run instantly with zero foot-print.
