Troubleshooting SoftGrid With Process Monitor
Wednesday, 15 August 2007 by Michel Roth
Some companies (used to) present implementing Softgrid in your environment as being as easy as pie. This sure sounds great and makes for a great demo when sequencing the ever-elusive WinZip. However, when you see the Softgrid application launch bar reach a hundred percent and *nothing* happens that ratio of sequencing 4 applications a day that nice salesman promised you seems to get more unrealistic by the minute.

This is when you have to break out the big guns. Hack open that OSD, inject your troubleshooting tool into the section and what is wanting to make you look like a wannabee sequencer.

At the Softgrid Team blog there is a real war story that covers using the brilliant Process Monitor to deal with disobedient Softgrid applications .
