Truths And Myths Of Presentation Server And WAN Optimization
Saturday, 02 June 2007 by Michel Roth
Recently I found a really cool sounding Citrix paper titled "Truths and Myths of Presentation Server and WAN Optimization". This is a really good paper that talks about the common techniques involved in WAN optimization and how these techniques can potentially optimize ICA traffic. This has been and is a very current subject because it seems that the importance of WAN connections in Citrix environments is something often grossly underestimated and little understood. Especially when are network consists of several sites connected by WAN connections, this knowledge is crucial in facilitating a decent end user experience.

For some reason the paper is not available anymore, which is a big shame. Seeing as valuable this paper is, I've decided to put op the copy I downloaded in my download section. As soon as Citrix restores the download, you should download the paper at the source. Download "Truths and Myths of Presentation Server and WAN"Optimization" here.

Update: Citrix has made the paper available again, download that version.
