Almost a funny article by Doug Brown on using Citrix to get a promotion...

How can you make it to the top? The networking manager for the Russell Investment Group (of the Russell 3000 Index fame) did it by deploying Citrix MetaFrame for the enterprise…he was promoted to CIO after a very successful project.. The MIS Manager of ABM Industries had a similar experience – he was promoted to Chief Technology Officer after migrating every computer user in his Fortune 1000 company to a Citrix “desktop”.

Both of these executives proved to senior management that they could save millions of dollars a year. And while their promotions may be particularly high-profile, they are not uncommon. Companies frequently reward IT managers who successfully pitch and implement an enterprise Terminal Server / Citrix environment.
