vizioncore esxReplicator facilitates selective replication of the entire virtual machine and its configuration, allowing virtual machines from many ESX Server sources to be replicated to a single ESX Server destination. Working from outside the Guest OS, esxReplicator copies configuration settings, OS patches/level changes, stored data, and more, allowing administrators to create full copies of VMs and replicate the updates for affordable business continuity. In addition, esxReplicator allows organizations to save on licensing costs, management, and maintenance associated with inside-the-Guest and LUN-level replication activities. Finally, the ability of esxReplicator to selectively replicate individual VMs (instead of an entire LUN) dramatically reduces the level of network traffic, hardware requirements, and associated maintenance costs involved in the replication process, adding further value to the esxReplicator solution. Key features of the esxReplicator include: • Ability to replicate between dissimilar hardware, or from multiple ESX Servers • Supports local and SAN-based VMFS volumes • Replicates both the OS and the data volumes • Selectively replicates individual VMs • Replicates directly to LAN or WAN destinations Read the full press release here.
