VMRCPlus 1.6 Released
Tuesday, 06 November 2007 by Michel Roth
The very popular tool amongst the users of Microsoft Virtual Server, VMRCPlus has been updated to version 1.6.

For those you that don't know, VMRCPlus provides an alternative management interface to that of Microsoft Virtual Server 2005. It covers 98% of the functionality and offers an easier to use User Interface to administer and configure virtual machines over many remote Virtual Servers.

With VMRCplus you can manage multiple Virtual Server hosts from within the same interface. You can switch between Virtual Server hosts using tab pages. Each tab page lists all registered Virtual Machines on that specific host. You can manage each guest by opening its console. You can manage multiple guests and switch between them using tab pages in the Console Manager. VMRCplus enables both configuration management of Virtual Server and management of each guest within the same application.

New in VMRCPlus 1.6:

• The terminology of VMRCplus has been updated.
• Configuration of scripts on both the Virtual Server and Virtual Machine level.
• VMRCplus offers configuring promiscuous mode on the network so you can trace traffic in the virtual switch.
• Minor enhancements like storage of Console Manager coordinates, conflict handling when a shortcut already exists
• The COM and LPT port assignment logic fixes
• The x86 installer package no longer installs on x64.
• Error handling has been enhanced and several issues have been fixed.
