VMware Releases VMware Converter 3.0
Tuesday, 30 January 2007 by Michel Roth
In a set of amazing coincidences, Vmware and Invirtus have released their P2V and V2V products at the same time. I my previous post you can read about Invirtus releasing their Enterprise VM Converter.

So after being in Beta for some time, VMware also have released their P2V and V2V product: Vmware Convertor. VMware Converter quickly converts Microsoft Windows based physical machines and third party image formats to VMware virtual machines. It also converts virtual machines between VMware platforms. Automate and simplify physical to virtual machine conversions as well as conversions between virtual machine formats with VMware Converter. They have a Starter Edition that suffices perfectly well, the only limitation that it can only do one conversion at a time. It works brilliantly. I use it to import and export VMs between my ESX Server and my VMware Workstation.

Check out VMware Convertor here.
