WebEx Sues Citrix Claiming Cybersquatting
Thursday, 10 February 2005 by Michel Roth
WebEx Communications Inc. (WEBX) filed suit against Citrix Systems Inc. (CTXS), claiming that the latter firm illegally bought a number of domain names containing WebEx trademarks.

WebEx, an online communications company, filed suit in a California federal court alleging trademark infringement, cybersquatting and unfair competition.

In a press release Thursday, WebEx alleges that Citrix purchased the domain names in question on the day that WebEx unveiled a service allowing its customers to remotely access their computers. Citrix has a similar service, GoToMyPC, which WebEx said competes with its own MyWebExPC offering.

The suit claims that Citrix purchased WebEx-related domain names like webexpc.com, mypcwebex.com, mypcwebx.com, and my-webex-pc.com, among others.
