What Happened To Altiris SVS? |

About two years ago (in Europe) if one would have asked anyone in the "virtualization industry" to name three application virtualization products, SVS would probably be on of the three mentioned. A lot has changed though the last two years. Microsoft, VMware and Citrix have stormed into the application virtualization arena seemingly overrunning SVS.
So what did happen so SVS? It has been a bit quiet around them. Well, first of all there was the acquisition of Altiris by Symantec . The mere process of the acquisition and the integration would account for this. Second of all. I don't know. But have no fear, Infoworld's David Marshall interviewed Scott Jones , Product Manager at Symantec about what SVS is all about these days.
