Windows Server 2008 RTM Delayed
Friday, 31 August 2007 by Michel Roth
Yesterday, Helene Love Snell of the Windows Server team announced that Windows Server 2008 will be released to manufacturing a later then planned. The worldwide launch however on the 27th of February 2008 in Los Angeles is supposed still on....

According to Helene: "... Windows Server 2008, which we have been saying would Release to Manufacturing (RTM) by the end of the calendar year, is now slated to RTM in the first quarter of calendar year 2008". So Microsoft is making an effort to assure us that the official launch is still on schedule for the 27th of February.

Time will tell if Microsoft will make it (this time around). One thing is for sure: I'd hate to be the one to have to pay the pizza bill of the Windows Server team ;-)
