Wyse Announces Wyse Linux 6.3

Wyse Technology today announced Wyse Linux 6.3, the latest release of the Wyse Linux V6 products. The product will be offered as a free software upgrade for current Wyse customers of the S50, V50, and 5150 SE thin clients.

Wyse Linux 6.3 offers support for 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN adapters and enterprise-class WPA-2 and 802.1x wireless authentication, improved SmartCard compatibility, enhanced authentication and security, and double-byte Asian language support. This latest release is built on the rich feature set of Wyse Linux V6 that includes support for server-managed applications through Citrix MetaFrame and Microsoft® Windows® Terminal Server Edition, VPN security, Firefox web browser, local terminal emulation, and support for local printers and USB removable drives. Wyse Linux 6.3 will be demonstrated at the Wyse booth, # 1034, at LinuxWorld. In addition, Linux-based Wyse thin clients will be used to register all attendees at the event.
