Wyse Technology continues to hold the leading market share worldwide according to the first quarter 2006 report published by IDC. "With the thin-client category growing at nearly 45% in Q1 2006, clearly the value proposition of improved security, lower management costs, and better ROI is resonating with IT managers who are choosing a thin-computing architecture over traditional desktop PCs," said Bob O'Donnell, Program Vice President of Clients and Displays at IDC. Wyse remains the worldwide market-share leader followed by HP and Neoware. Wyse leads with 44% market share in the United States, 35% in Asia Pacific, and 27% in Western Europe. Given the ever-rising management costs and the need to comply with regulatory guidelines, IT organizations are being pushed to have greater control over their desktops. The Wyse thin-computing solution, with its industry-leading thin clients and management and deployment software suite, is allowing IT managers to easily deploy thin clients and devices throughout their organizations.
