Wyse Lauches G-Class Thin Client
Tuesday, 24 October 2006 by Michel Roth
Wyse today announced the availability of its new G-Class -- the world's most powerful and expandable thin computers. The new Wyse G-Class thin computers give users all the performance and flexibility they need for graphics-intensive thin client deployments, making them ideal for the brokerage, financial services and educational training industries.

In addition, all new G-Class thin computers are equipped with standard dual-display support, with the option to add more displays as requirements increase. With Wyse G-Class, users can easily expand to quad display support through third-party display adapters from vendors such as Matrox, ATI and others. In this way the new Wyse G-Class thin computers deliver unprecedented power and flexibility, which can handle the most complex and demanding tasks.

Wyse G-Class thin computers come with the following features:

• Built in dual-display support enabling customers to attach two displays simultaneously, without the need for additional adapters, making it ideal for video and data-intensive applications.
• Support for more than two displays when optional supported additional display adapters are used.
• Expansion options include a CD ROM bay, hard disk drive bay, and a PCI expansion slot. This enables IT departments to configure, deploy, and use G-Class thin computers in a wider variety of ways, even in situations that would otherwise require a PC.
• Plug-and-play connectivity making it easy for users to install and connect right out of the box.
• Enhanced data security and integrity -- no data is stored on the thin computer, so data cannot be lost or stolen, and the unit has no value off the network.
• Integrated 10/100 Ethernet and optional wireless LAN connectivity allowing customers to securely connect to high-speed wired and wireless networks.
• Ships with Wyse Device Manager which makes it easy to manage, update, and even service the device from one central or several remote locations.
