Wyse To Launch Displays With Integrated Thin Client
Thursday, 13 September 2007 by Michel Roth
Wyse is cooperating with a company called Planar systems to deliver displays with a thin client integrated. The integrated Thin Client is going to run Wyse ThinOS, known for its speed and decent video performance. The displays will either be 17 inch or 19 TFT LCD with a 1280 x 1024 resolution (SXGA) and integrated speakers. Sounds good right? It does, except that they are rather expensive in my opinion. $839 for the 17 inch one and $939 for the 19 inch edition. And how hard can it be to make these types of clients more good looking? If I'm going to pay $939 for it, it might as well look good!
